It offers powerful features, many not available elsewhere, and functions well for varied shops building diverse products.

Another major benefit of eCabinet Systems is the ability to buy components, hardware, supplies and material direct from major industry vendors at a discount. These purchases are made through the software, which can automatically track items needed for a job and eliminate much of the clerical effort normally associated with purchasing. These sales fund software development.

You can design complete jobs including cabinet boxes, dovetail drawers, doors, either MDF or five-piece raised panel designs, and face frames. Then you can send the job to a Thermwood CNC router where all these parts can be machined. The Thermwood CNC control takes the job from the software and creates the nested based programs needed to make all the parts.

You can integrate carvings and custom moldings into your designs using eCabinet Systems, then if you have a Thermwood CNC router, you can rent the CNC programs needed to machine the carvings and you can model the custom molding profiles using standard modeling tools, without custom tooling. If you don’t have a Thermwood machine, you can have your parts machined by one of the many Members offering this service through “Production Sharing”, another part of the program. These same people can machine your nested based cabinet parts by simply sending them the CNC output file from the software.

When you get your own Thermwood CNC router, you can offer these same services to other Members through our web site and at trade shows.

You also have access to sophisticated, high-quality furniture finishes from Valspar, the world leader in furniture finishing, and for the first time in quantities appropriate for custom shops. DVD videos show how to apply each step of each finish.

We also offer “Design Sharing” where power users of the software offer for sale entire libraries of cabinet and furniture designs that you can download and use. When you become proficient with the software you can also offer libraries of designs to other Members.

We also offer a “Professional Design Program” where world renowned furniture designers offer eCabinet Systems Members exquisite designs that you can build and sell. eCabinet Systems files are available for these designs. Special components and carvings can be made by renting CNC programs to make them on a Thermwood CNC router. These rental fees pay the professional designers for use of their designs.
